Shayla has lived in Cumbria for over ten years and currently works as a Keyworker with Groundwork North East & Cumbria. She supports vulnerable and marginalised families with housing, healthcare, education, and social services. Shayla co‑founded a multicultural women’s group which she helped expand into a family‑focused project, boosting well‑being, cohesion, and self‑empowerment. She brings strong skills in project management, advocacy, and community development. As a trustee, Shayla is passionate about driving cultural integration and ensuring equitable services across our region.
