Trustee
Nigel is a job‑evaluation and organisation‑design consultant in the public sector and also serves as an ambassador for Colostomy UK. In football, he led Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion work at Carlisle United until May 2024. He has served as Chair of the Cumberland FA Inclusion Advisory Group, Director of AFC Autism, and Cumberland FA Board Director since January 2024. Nigel’s mission is to eliminate injustice in grassroots football and beyond, making sure under‑represented voices are heard. As a trustee, he will guide our ED&I strategy and champion inclusivity across sport and community services.
Cumberland FA
Role Responsibilities: Creating and Implementing plans to promote a more inclusive and
equitable organisation.
Creating opportunities for all groups of people to have a voice within the CFA.
Supporting positive action interventions to support under-represented groups to get involved
in the grassroots game. Upskilling Board, Staff and wider game on the importance of ED&I
and the value it brings to the game and the community.
