This is our grand celebration of over 10 years of Culture Bazaar. The very first event took place in 2007.
The award-winning Culture Bazaar was held on 25th & 26th April 2023 for the first time after Covid restriction.
Guests were encouraged to bring their own water bottles, travel mugs and tableware. The disposables used were biodegradable for minimum input landfill waste. There were plenty of food stalls to buy International cuisine, from Indian to Goan to Syrian, and many food demonstrations. All were encouraged to use biodegradable disposable items.

At NCIC, they want our staff to feel appreciated and valued, no matter who they are, what they do or where they work. One of the Trust values is ‘Respect’. They believe they can most effectively demonstrate respect to colleagues by recognising the challenges they may face in the workplace and provide a forum for support and action.
NCIC are determined to build an inclusive culture where every staff member has a ‘voice’ and is empowered to influence decisions. They have a range of staff networks – including one for Cultural Diversity – and colleagues are a key part of that.
Feeling valued, heard and included is extremely important to everyone who works at NCIC and respecting and valuing diversity and inclusion is a top priority for the Trust.
In 2020, the Trust made a promise to minority colleagues to increase diversity in theworkforce. The promise aims to ensure fairness for all and embedding a culture where people can thrive no matter what their race, background or personal experience.
NCIC have more than 60 Respect and Inclusion Ambassadors who staff can go to with any concerns, as well as Freedom to Speak Up Guardians. And in recent years, they have recruited many International recruits who have settled in well and who are taking part – and representing the Trust – at the Culture Bazaar today.
