On 14th February 2018, our CEO Saj Ghafoor was invited to a reception at Buckingham Palace. The reception provided an opportunity to recognize those of Commonwealth heritage who have made positive contributions to business, community and culture within the United Kingdom.

Saj arrived in Carlisle at the age of seven, as a member of the second Pakistani family ever to have made their home in the city. The Lord Lieutenant of Cumbria, Clare Hensman, nominated Saj to attend the event due to her fantastic work bringing diaspora communities together.
