Alex Kioko

Trustee

Alex was born in Kenya and is now a naturalised British citizen. With over twenty years of experience in the hospitality industry at Lake District Hotels, he has held supervisory and managerial roles, mentored staff, and helped the hotel earn a prestigious Rosette award by identifying and supporting diverse talent—particularly diaspora staff—whose contributions were invaluable. As an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion champion, Alex believes strongly in cultural diversity enriching communities. As a trustee, he’s excited to support our ongoing work, shape policies that encourage cultural appreciation and inclusion, and help build a more cohesive society across Cumbria.
