Project Description

It is with great pleasure and excitement that Multicultural Cumbria announce that we have a multicultural choir in Carlisle. So come join us with the voices from all the continents to sing in ONE VOICE. Get those vocal cords warmed up because the first performance is at Culture Bazaar on 22nd April.  Bringing people together from different heritages to share their love of song. ONE VOICE Multicultural Choir aims to bring together international heritages and languages through song. If you can sing we want you to come join us for the try-outs on MONDAY’s from 30th January at 5.30pm!

The choir will be led by the following people:

Mel Kinsella

Mel moved to Carlisle over 10 years ago and has made Carlisle City her home along with her husband Mike. She has recently launched her new venture in the city ‘Kinsella HR Solutions’ and is also a Soul and Motown singer at venues around the City and across the County. Mel has always loved to sing and started singing at an early age in church, she has led small groups and choirs on her musical journey. When asked why she was interested in leading this multicultural choir she said ‘I am excited by the idea of bringing voices together from many nationalities from across the City and hope many people will be interested and join us on the 24 January 2023 for auditions’.
