James Stephens is Head of Library Services and University Librarian at the University of Cumbria. James will be joining us this year at Race 2B Conference 2022 to give us a talk, discussing the “University of Sanctuary – Education”.

A number of UK universities are now recognised as Universities of Sanctuary. The University of Cumbria is beginning a journey to join them this academic year. This talk will explore how we will work alongside the University of Sanctuary organisation to offer opportunities of higher education to those seeking a place of safety and security.
