Cumbria County Council Holiday Activity and Food Programme
HAF Project (Holiday Activities and Food Programme)
We know it’s tricky keeping kids entertained during the holidays, so this Easter, Multicultural Cumbria & ICan Health & Fitness are bringing a fun packed holiday activity and food programme for kids in Carlisle. The programme is for children and young people from minoritised communities between the age of 5 – 15 years old, who are in receipt of free school meals, low incomes and come from different ethnicities.
Planned activities include origami, arts and crafts, cooking, international dance, playing games and being active. Children will be taking part in all the activities throughout the day and learn about healthy eating. They will also be provided with a meal for lunch.
The programme will run from Tuesday 05th April – Friday 08th April at Richard Rose Central Academy, Lismore Place Carlisle. It’s completely free.
The purpose of the project is for the children and young people to engage in fun activities, develop new skills, walk through a cultural experience, learn to improve and be aware of their wellbeing.
Places are limited, so book now via Eventbrite!
